Saint Joseph the Worker Workshop
Saint Joseph Workshop is a workshop which creates and produces bamboo craft items in the Philippines. The workshop is situated in a village named Sapang, on Talim island, not far away from the capital city of Manila.
The workshop is employing at the present time fifteen workers aged from 20 to 30 years old. They all live in the village. The workshop gives them a formation. The philosophy of this workshop consists to work with the perspective of fair trade by giving the workers a dignified salary. The workshop also pays attention to the respect of the nature, by using appropriate materials and by teaching the workers. The workshop is also one of the NGO “Tiberiade Community Foundation” social programs. This NGO is working in the village to develop it.
